As a true Gmail lover you of course have already noticed this, but Gmail now gives people with lesser advanced browsers to use Gmail. Gmail could only be used by IE 5.5+, Safari and Mozilla/Firefox browsers previously. This was due to the extensive use of Javascript and XmlHttpRequest that made the service as responsive as it is.
The lay-out of both versions looks about the same. Normal, fancy version:

Basic HTML version:

Main difference is that the basic HTML version needs a full-page reload on every single click and that some of the preferences aren’t available. Also, the HTML code is actually readable now.

Zef, je moet de plaatjes even iets kleiner maken, ze floaten nu onder de banner..
